“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela

These words of wisdom by Nelson Mandela has been the guiding source in my life. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington and worked at the Methodist hospital for a decade. I worked at post-surgical and intensive care unit where educating patients, families, and staff was one of my priorities and also the favorite part of my job. I enjoyed finding creative ways to convert complex concepts into the simplest forms.

I have been volunteering as an early childhood educator for many years and find tremendous joy in sparking children’s curiosity through a hands-on curriculum. I have completed my Director’s certification from the National Institute of Child Care Management. I have two beautiful girls, Zoya and Sophia, ages 7 and 11 and my husband Imran is a Certified Public Accountant.

It had been my dream to work with children and when my best friend Rosie and I decided to start a preschool, we explored many options. After months of vigorous research and talking to multiple people we discovered Ivy Kids and were immediately drawn to the school’s proven qualities especially the MultiPrep Curriculum. We found the focus on each child at every school remarkable.

Rosie and Jay Jinnah are professional entrepreneurs with successful accessories and clothing companies, Silver Moon and Southern Grace Apparel. Rosie serves as Creative Director and Jay as the Chief Financial Officer. They have been lifelong volunteers at every school their kids have been at and in their respective communities. Rosie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from The University of Texas at Arlington and Jay has a Bachelors in Business from The University of Texas at Dallas. Rosie and Jay have two kids, Arisa and Cyrus ages 7 and 11 and both were born in the great and unique City of McKinney.

Both our families feel so blessed to be part of the community and look forward to partnering and welcoming your family to our Ivy Kids family!

Meet the Education Director

Kelcie Feuer

Hi there!
My name is Kelcie Feuer, and I am so excited to be taking on the position of Education Director! I have been a teacher for the past seven years and can’t wait to use my talents and experience in this new role. I am thrilled that we will be able to begin this great adventure together.

I graduated from Texas Tech University (Guns Up!) with a Bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. I am certified in General Education, Special Education, and ESL.

I am from Midland, Texas but have also lived in New Mexico and North Carolina. My family still lives in Midland, and I try to visit whenever I can. I have one older sister, Kyla, who lives in Phoenix, Arizona. My Granny lives in a small town in the mountains of North Carolina. Even though we all live in different cities, my family and I try to stay close to each other and get together for holidays.

My husband, Lawrence, and I got married in June 2017 and had the most wonderful day! Lawrence is a mechanical engineer and also graduated from Texas Tech. We love building our life together in Frisco! Lawrence and I were blessed with our first baby girl a little over a year ago. Elliette Brynn is the sweetest and sassiest little girl, and we love her to pieces!

One of my favorite things to do is travel. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit many different countries, including Spain, England, Mexico, the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Portugal, and Saint Lucia! I also love to read. I spent many hours this summer at the pool with great books. One of my favorites is If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. My mom and I love this one! I’m excited for Fall (my favorite season) and football to begin!

I can’t wait to spend this year learning and growing with the wonderful families and kiddos of Ivy Kids of Coit!
