Rahim Hassan and Zahra Nanjee

In the words of Sydney J. Harris, “the whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows.”

This is a quote we passionately believe in and has become the very purpose of our existence. It is with this very notion, that we, as a brother and sister team, excitedly present Ivy Kids Early Learning Center in League City.

Here is a little snippet of our academic backgrounds: I attended Houston Baptist University and received Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Rahim earned a degree in Communications and International Business from University of Houston. But our education doesn’t end there. In fact, it continues as we wake up each day excited to meet our dynamic students!

Gone are the days where learning is acquired from textbooks and classroom lectures. Finding the true love for learning occurs when we immerse ourselves in exciting experiences, tap into our emotions, unleash our creative side, create life long friendships, challenge the limits of our potential, and find our true purpose in the world. This all starts with a solid foundation in early childhood education.

At Ivy Kids, this is the philosophy we strive to achieve…Mixed with some mandatory hugs and giggles of course! We believe it is THE place where your child can feel the comfort of home, while partaking in life’s thought provoking, holistic experiences that can help turn their own windows into mirrors.

It is our sincere promise that with our powers combined, we’ll ensure that every moment spent at Ivy Kids will feel nothing short of…. MAGICAL!

Meet the Director

Carrie Worley

I am so honored to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Carrie Worley. I am a SoCal transplant, living in Houston for just over four years. I have three amazing teenagers, Markus (16), Nevaeh (15), and Micah (14). We love all things outdoors and are always up for a spontaneous road trip! When it is warm, you can often find us paddle boarding, as it’s the next best thing to hiking mountains. Houston is an amazing city, one that over time I have truly grown to adore.

For as long as I can remember, impacting those around me has been a motivating and driving factor in the decisions I make and the things I enjoy. I can still recall as a young child knowing I wanted to be a kindergarten teacher for the simple reason, I wanted to teach kids the first things they’d need to know in school to serve as lifelong building blocks. As I grew older, that love and passion never dwindled. The heart I have for human service is something I have possessed all my life.
This passion carried me through in my education. I have studied Child Development, Social and Behavioral Studies, Human Development, and Physical Education. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to utilize every aspect of my educational background. I spent years in Early Childhood Education, as a teacher then Site Supervisor / Director. I have worked in the public school system and served in management for the non-profit and for-profit business sectors developing kids programming.

Working with the families and children while partnering and supporting each of you as teachers, for me, is purpose driven. Our partnership and the opportunity to learn the “Ivy Kids Way”, utilizing my experiences and understanding of early childhood education will contribute to the continued successes of Ivy Kids Hobbs.

I am eternally grateful to have the opportunity to open a new chapter contributing and creating impact on the lives of those I am so privileged to know and serve.
