Ivy Kids Long Meadow Farms

Meet the Owner

Ana Avendano

As I reflect on my past experiences, in which has led me to this new adventure, one common denominator surfaces; my passion for educating children. Throughout my career as an educator, my most memorable moments were watching my students grow academically, socially, and gain confidence where they once lacked. These moments are what fuels my passion today and drives me to continue serving parents and children.

I have been in the education sector for over 14 years, and I served in various capacities, including ESL Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Reading Specialist, and Instructional Coach.

I believe in and practice strong family values. I am married to a very loving and supportive husband to whom I share two wonderful children who are our pride and joy.

I am very excited to become part of the Long Meadow Farms Community and its surroundings. As an Ivy Kids owner, it is an honor to have the opportunity to empower and support families by ensuring our children have access to enriching experiences in a positive, nurturing, fun, and safe environment.

We owe our children the opportunity to build strong foundations in ways that are developmentally appropriate. At Ivy Kids, our enriched curriculum is based on multiple intelligences that creates self-motivated, life-long learners who are prepared for a successful future.
I look forward to meeting you soon.

Meet the Director

Cecelia Muse

During the 41 years that I have worked in childcare, I have taught children, wrote curriculum, mentored and trained teachers and managers, was an assistant Director, and then in 1995, I became a Director. I have been directing early childhood programs for over 26 years. It is my life and my passion.

I earned my Director’s certification and Child Development Associate at Lone Star College. I continue to keep updated on the best teaching strategies for teaching children and apply them to the school I am directing.

I consider the children, families and staff that are under my care an extension of my own family, which consists of five amazing children and seven beautiful grandchildren.

My goals as the Director of Ivy Kids Long Meadow Farms, include building strong relationships with you, my families, where communication, education, health & safety, family involvement, and homeschool connections are priorities.

Meet the Education Director

Sabrina Rocio

I have 31 years of experience in child development and early childhood education, working with children ages Infancy through second grade. I went to Houston Community College where I studied Child Development and transferred to the University of Houston Downtown where I then studied Early Childhood Education.  I began babysitting for a family friend which then led me to develop a love for wanting to work with children.  I am very passionate about being able to mentor, model, and help teachers acquire the knowledge needed to be better educators for the children of today.

I have enjoyed being here at Ivy Kids Long Meadow Farms and I look forward to making many more long-lasting memories. I can not wait to meet and work with our new families as the Ivy Prep curriculum will definitely make a difference in your child’s life.
