‘Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write, and count. Childhood is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace which is right for each individual child.”

We appreciate the opportunity and feel very blessed to be a part of your child’s everyday life. Let us start by telling you a little about ourselves and our family.
I have over 21 years of experience in the field of education. My love of teaching developed through my desire to make a difference in children’s lives and the pure joy of using my creativity to make learning fun and engaging for all students.
I am certified in ESL (English as a Second Language) and GT (Gifted and Talented). I hold a Teaching Certificate in both California and Texas. I also earned a Masters in Education in Cross-Cultural Teaching and a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Educational Administration.
Aside from teaching at the elementary level, I have also held the position of Instructional Teacher Advisor. My responsibilities included providing staff development on various educational topics such as Best Practices in Teaching and Differentiated Instruction. I also worked very closely with a TEA (Texas Education Agency) appointed representative to ensure that progress was being made in all subject areas.
Steven is an Emergency Medicine physician and finds it rewarding that he gets to be a part of people’s lives when they need him the most. His passion for medicine stems from his experiences in the United States Army when he served as an EMT-Basic, Combat Medic, LVN, and Dialysis Nurse. After the Army, Steven continued on to become a Registered Nurse and then a physician.
We have a daughter named Lauren who is 11 years old and a fifth grade student at Windsong Ranch Elementary. She loves singing and volleyball. She is the lead vocalist with the local band, ‘The Extremely Average’ that is comprised of other local students all under the age of 16. They are AMAZING! Our pursuit for the best life for her and our family has taken us to different locales. Though, we were both born and raised in San Diego, California, we specifically chose Prosper, Texas to settle down and establish our roots. Prosper is such a wonderful community and we feel very fortunate and blessed to live here. We are invested in serving our community and contributing to its growth and prosperity through Ivy Kids of Prosper.
We are very transparent owners and all decisions made for the school are always based on the safety and well-being of our students, teachers, and staff. We believe in open communication and want all our families who are a part of our school to know where our heart is at all times, which is always with the kids.
We thank you, parents and families, for sharing your children with us and for entrusting us with their early development and education.
