Dear Ivy Kids of Manvel Families,
We hope this message finds your child and family safe and warm. After careful consideration and guidance from state and city officials, we have decided to remain closed for the rest of the week.
Ivy Kids of Manvel will be closed Thursday (February 18th) and Friday (February 19th) due to the inclement weather experienced and expected, unsafe travel conditions, water shortages, and power outages.
Please know that this decision was made after considering the many unfavorable factors working against us: our center has been without power since Monday and we have not been provided a timeline on when power will be restored. Due to the power outage, perishable items must be disposed of but no timeline has been provided on when new shipments of food can be made to the Center. The Center is also experiencing intermittent water issues with a lack or pressure and in some cases no pressure at all.
As always, the safety of our families, children, staff, and their families are our top priority. We will continue to monitor this situation and hope to see you as soon as it is safe to open our center.
Please keep monitoring our Facebook page, your email, and Preschool2Me. We may not be able to utilize all three forms of communication at this time so we humbly request our families to turn to Facebook first as this is the quickest way for us to communicate center updates with our families. We will try our best to communicate via email and Preschool2Me when possible. We appreciate your understanding and we hope everyone remains safe!
Regards,
